SjW's sound is deeply entwined with the past and heavily influenced by Led Zeppelin, The Police, Rush, Cream, Kings X and Hendrix have, without a doubt, had an impact on SjW's unique style too.

Simon James White released his debut album 'Talk On Corners' in 2006, after returning from a year and half touring the Middle East as a bass player & vocalist. 'Talk On Corners' was recorded at No Machine Studio's in Wokingham.
SjW gigged constantly, as a four piece band, throughout 2006/07 with Tom Vincent, (Drums), Mitch Gasser, (Guitar), Winston Eade, (Keyboards) and Jamie Hunt (ex Biomechanical) augmenting the line up. In 2007 SjW stripped down to a 3 piece, with Mitch Gasser ever present on Guitar and a number of session drummers picking up sticks live. Simon James White continued writing material in preparation for the bands next album release.

The Summer of 2008 saw Mitch Gasser and Simon James White in Bank Cottage Studios with top Producer George Shilling working on the latest SjW album. resulting in 10 new album tracks. and the second SjW album, 'A State of Delirium'. This is a new direction from their previous dark roots whilst still offering dynamic intelligent rock their music takes on a more melodic and soulful feel.

August 2010 saw SjW back in the studio with producer George Shilling to work on their third studio album, (working title 'Heavy Cargo'). Simon James White penned 25 new songs for the record, 12 of which made the final recording.
'Heavy Cargo' is a return to the bands earlier and darker sound and the progressive twists and turns that have become the hallmark of SjW's music remain, but the lighter shades present on 'A State of Delirium' album have made way
for a dark and heavier sound.

SjW's third studio album 'Heavy Cargo' is due for release in 2011. You can pre order one of only 500 LIMITED EDITION copies from
